bookitLive will not use data inputted on their system in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. bookitLive collects information from users at various points during the booking process. When a booking is made some users may leave information and a message. The content is seen by service provider and the user.

Ownership of data

bookitLive has no ownership or rights whatsoever to the data collected by the service provider. The service provider owns the data.

Customer data

bookitLive uses customer data only in connection with providing the booking services – we do not monitor, sell or use customer data for any other purposes. We do not control the actions of anyone with whom you or any other service user may choose to share information.

Individuals have the right to access any personal data that we hold about you and in some circumstances provided a copy of the data.

bookitLive takes every precaution to protect user information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, the information is protected both online and off-line. The system data transmission is protected by 128/256 bit SSL encryption at all times. While on a secured page the lock icon will appear on Web browsers such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer. Alternatively this may also appear as https in the address bar.

Data Retention

How long we retain your Personal Data depends on the type of data and the purpose for which we process the data. We will retain your Personal Information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Staff confidentiality agreements

All user information is restricted in bookitLive’s offices. Only bookitLive officers, employees and authorised agents who need the information to perform a specific job such as support activities are granted access to personally identifiable information. All staff have signed Confidentiality agreements.

Server security

bookitLive servers storing personally identifiable information are kept in a secured Tier 3 data centre environment. bookitLive application web and database servers are housed in Sydney, NSW Australia Datacentre and managed by Australian Pacific Data Centres (APDC).

SMS services

To provide secured SMS services, bookitLive use Australasia’s largest commercial SMS provider, MessageMedia, an Australian based company with approximately 8000+ business clients including Australia’s four major banking institutions, government and healthcare entities. MessageMedia provide a business-grade SMS service based on a high availability resilient/redundant platform and use encryption technology to safeguard customer data integrity. MessageMedia only use Tier-1 Australian carriers such as Telstra and Optus to ensure all our clients’ phone numbers and message content is not passed to unreliable or potentially fraudulent third-parties.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data that websites send to your computer or other web-based devices to uniquely identify your browser or to store information or settings on your browser based on your use. Cookies allow us to identify you when you return to the bookitLive web application, providing you with a streamlined and customised experience. bookitLive may employ the use of cookies to analyse trends and administer our web application.

You can always control the use of cookies, but if you choose to disable all cookies, it may limit your use of certain functions or features of the bookitLive web application.

Analytics Tools

The bookitlive website and web application use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, which are web analytics services provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”), to evaluate your use of the bookiLlive website and web application. Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager place a third-party cookie on your computer that is then used to compile reports of visitor traffic and internet usage. Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager does not have a database of individual profiles for each visitor and only collects aggregate data.

Log Files

We log IP addresses for security reasons and log file/system activity to administer the system. However, none of the information stored in our log files, including but not limited to IP addresses, is linked to personally identifiable information.

bookitLive uses log files comprising of non-personally identifiable information to analyse trends, administer the website and web application, track movements throughout the website and web application

This information may include your IP address or other proxy servers you use to connect to the Internet, device and application identification numbers, your browser type, your Internet service provider (or mobile carrier), your operating system and system settings, and the location and time zone associated with your usage. Based on certain Internet standards.

Sharing

If you are a user making a booking, bookitLive never shares your personal information with anyone except the service provider with whom you request a booking. Each service provider only receives the information particular to your bookings with them. However we have no access or control over how the service provider will use this information and cannot guarantee the veracity of data or whether it is being used in a legal or illegal way.

bookitLive will not, without your consent, divulge your personal information to a third party except in the following circumstances:

  • If required to do so by law or by any organisation with appropriate authority;
  • To any financial institution with whom we hold an account for verifying credit status and / or validating financial transactions;
  • We may provide aggregate statistics about our sales, clients, traffic patterns and other site information to third parties, but these statistics will not include any information that could personally identify you

bookitLive is not responsible for the privacy practices of other companies or websites.

Please be aware that bookitLive are not responsible for the privacy practices of other service providers. bookitLive encourage users to be aware when they leave the bookitLive site and to read the privacy statements of every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy policy applies solely to information collected by the bookitLive.

Credit card payment for our services is processed by our secure payment service provider. We do not record your credit card details on our database and the payment service provider does not record any other information about you.

bookitLive send all new service providers a welcoming email to verify their details.  Established service providers will occasionally receive information on upgrades and modifications available. We also occasionally send the user site and service announcement updates. Subscribers are not able to un-subscribe from these emails, which contain important information about the service. We communicate with the subscriber to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account via email or phone.

As Required by Law

bookitLive is an Australian company and this privacy policy is intended to be interpreted under Australian Law.
bookitLive will not disclose the data to any person except where required by law or a valid direction of a government agency, in which case bookitLive will advise the provider of the order or direction and consult on the information to be disclosed prior to disclosure. The service provider agrees to pay bookitLive reasonable costs of compliance on provision of receipts. This clause shall survive the termination or expiration of this Agreement.

Privacy Act and Other Laws

You shall at all times indemnify and hold harmless bookitLive and its officers, employees and agents (“those indemnified”) from and against any loss (including reasonable legal costs and expenses) or liability reasonably incurred or suffered by any of those indemnified arising from any proceedings against those indemnified where such loss or liability was caused by you breaching Australian law, or the laws of the country in which you are operating the bookitLive booking software. This clause specifically includes the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act) Privacy, including the Australian Privacy Principles, we will also endeavour to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation for Customers who access our site from within the EU.
