Tours for primary, secondary, tertiary and adult education groups are available. Tours align with curriculum requirements such as Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS), VCE Legal Studies and International Studies Study Guides.

Visitors to Parliament House are required to pass through a security checkpoint before entering the building. This involves a walk-through scanner and baggage scanning. Visitors with pacemakers should ask to be scanned using handheld scanners. 

As part of the check-in process, you will be required to provide your name and one of the following forms of identification:
• driver’s license
• learner’s permit
• proof of age card
• passport
• Australian birth certificate
• Australian citizenship certificate.

The Parliament Gardens Tour is the most recent addition to the Parliament’s community engagement and tours program.

The Gardens tour caters members of the public with an interest in horticulture and gardening as well as the history of the gardens.

Your visit will last about 90 minutes and includes a short presentation and a tour of the gardens. Appropriate footwear should be worn, and you should bring an umbrella in case of wet weather.
